Steve O'Reilly from Australia recently spent four romantic days in Paris with his wife, Vicki, and they had the most wonderful time of their lives. "There was so much to see, do and explore in Paris," recalled Steve. The highlights of the trip were simply unforgettable. "Climbing to the top of the Arc De Triomphe was worth it. After 284 tiring steps, you're rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree view of Paris in all its glory! We also took a bus tour of the city which brought us to several historical sites. Best of all, there were lovely cafés everywhere. We'd usually opt for cafés tucked away in a back street for a quiet, romantic meal." And at the end of a long and tiring day, the couple would head back to Citadines Montmartre Paris – their home away from home.

Besides the beautiful sights, the couple also feasted on Paris' gastronomic offerings. Steve swears by the food hall at Galleries Lafayette as he enjoyed the impressive selection of gourmet food, fresh produce and wine. "What stood out for me were the croissants and herring. In Australia, we tend to overcook the croissants and they end up rather dry. In Paris, they were always perfect. Herring was also a revelation and I enjoyed it either cold or smoked."

Towards the end of their trip, Steve had to rebook their departing flight at the last minute because of an unforeseen strike. Thankfully, Santiago, an employee at Citadines Montmartre Paris, was on hand to assist them. Since neither Steve nor his wife spoke French, Santiago made sure they were booked on another airline and that their other needs were taken care of. "We really appreciated his help. Santiago was always on top of things, never became flustered and gave the same amount of courtesy to other guests. If he had not been there, I would have panicked," said Steve, adding, "Throughout our stay, we would occasionally ask him for help and each time he was most welcoming and happy to assist, no matter how trivial the enquiry."

Adding to Citadines Montmartre Paris' comfortable ambience and picturesque location, Steve noted that the staff were always friendly, courteous and welcoming. "We had such an amazing time and our stay at Citadines Montmartre made our Paris trip even more enjoyable. I travel extensively on the job and I have never encountered a hotel employee as professional, courteous and helpful as Santiago. He is a fantastic ambassador for Citadines. On our next trip to Paris, we'll definitely stay here again!"
